Men’s basketball commanded the game in a 73-53 win against the Northern Illinois Huskies Wednesday night. The Cougars ended the first half with a 34-18 lead and drove forward, never losing the lead in the game.

This was their second consecutive win following two successive losses last week, putting them at 2-2 for the season.

The team’s leading scorer was junior forward Sidney Wilson, with a career high of 22 points during the game.

Senior guard Mike Adewunmi brought the Cougars 15 points and 12 rebounds, making it both his third double-digit scoring game and his third career double-double.

The Cougars will be playing their first home game of the season against the Omaha Mavericks at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5 at SIUE.
