SIU students and employees are reminded to return to campus and are required to complete a COVID-19 test after Jan. 4 within 48 hours of visiting any of the three SIUE campuses.
Students and employees who tested positive within 90 days before returning to campus and have completed their 2 week quarantine period prior to arrival are exempt from this requirement.
All on-campus re-entry tests should be scheduled through Aura, about which every student and employee was sent an email from email@example.com. Those who did not receive the email should contact firstname.lastname@example.org immediately.
The Edwardsville campus will be offering re-entry testing from Jan. 4-18 at the Student Activity Center and from Jan.19-21 at the South Mezzanine in the First Community Arena.
School of Dental Medicine will offer testing from Jan. 4-5 in Building 279, as will the East St. Louis Campus from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 5 in the Building D multipurpose room.
Students on the Edwardsville campus who refuse to comply with these requirements or miss the testing window will be put under a Dean of Students administrative hold and given a rescheduled testing time frame. Repeated non-compliance could result in being administratively dropped from any on-ground courses, termination of residency without refund or disciplinary action that can go as far as suspension.
Students from the School of Dental Medicine will be denied access to any labs or clinics until testing has occurred. Repeated refusal will lead to them being referred to the student conduct committee.
Faculty and staff who miss their scheduled return to campus window will be contacted by their department chair or department manager. Those who refuse to comply will be sent home without pay and referred to Human Resources for non-compliance to campus safety protocols.
