Webinar represents first all female-crew to sail the world

The Women's Studies Program, School of Business, Athletics, and Exercise and Sport Psychology Graduate Program are hosting a webinar featuring sailor Tracy Edwards.

Edwards skippered the first all-female crew to sail worldwide in the 1989-90 Whitbread Round the World Race on her team’s yacht, Maiden. She won two legs and was second overall, the best win for a British boat since 1977. She went on to skipper multiple all-female crews.

It’s free to register for the webinar and goes from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 27. It’s recommended to watch the documentary “Maiden”, which is available to all faculty, staff and students with an e-id before the webinar, which is on Alexander Sheet, a Proqeust Company

To register for the event and watch “Maiden,” go to the Women’s Studies page and go to events.
