Freshman and aspiring criminal justice major Morgen Schroeder of Jerseyville, Illinois, died in his home last week from a life-long condition.

Schroeder had battled epilepsy since he was 6 months old until Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, when he died from an epileptic seizure.

November is also National Epilepsy Awareness Month.

Services for Schroeder were held earlier this week and he was buried at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Jerseyville on Tuesday, Nov. 8.
