COVID-19

With a safer future in sight, the SIUE COVID-19 dashboard has been shut down as of July 1, 2022.

This comes after an extended period of time where vaccines have been available and positive cases in the area have been going down over time.

While COVID-19 is not completely out of the equation, SIUE recommends keeping track of infection rates directly from the CDC’s website for county statistics and recommendations.

Currently, Madison County is still seen as a high-risk area for infections, with positivity rates above 15 percent as of July 22, according to the CDC COVID Data Tracker.

While university policies are not requiring mask usage, the CDC still recommends them in most indoor settings.
