Cajun Seduction

I love Cajun food and was very excited to see that Cajun Seduction was on the lineup for this month’s Food Truck Friday. They had multiple menus posted around the truck in case of crowds. I was intrigued by the seafood mac and cheese but I ordered the shrimp and grits for $12, which is cheaper than other Cajun restaurants in the Metro East and St. Louis area. The service was great and the staff was kind. There was a bit of a wait for my food because they got a rush after I ordered, but it was worth it.

The meal itself came in a plastic to-go container, which I had a difficult time carrying because the bottom was hot. As soon as I opened the lid the smell of spices and seasonings wafted through the air. I could see shrimp, sausage and vegetables bobbing amongst the grits. The dish was flavorful without being too spicy. It was a little more soupy than I prefer grits, but still tasty.
