Watching college football on Saturdays and watching NFL on Sunday, Saturday, and Mondays, also not to leave out all the remaining sports during the week, many things are thrown at television viewers daily. But, do we, as viewers, catch on to the little things in the world of sports?

For example, did you know that there was only one man to ever play golf on the moon? His name was Alan Shephard, they never found the ball, and it's rumored he marked it down an eagle.

Did you know that the golf ball hit by Shephard was a regulation golf ball? A regulation golf ball has 336 dimples on it.

Did you know that Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlin, never, in his entire career of 15 years, fouled out of a National Basketball Association game?

Did you know that Denis Rodman, during his 14 year career, tallied up 211 technical fouls, 20 ejections and 11 suspensions?

Did you know that a baseball has exactly 108 stitches on it?

Did you know that a baseball bat can be made in less than eight seconds at the factories?

Did you know that Babe Ruth wore a fresh leaf of cabbage under his hat to keep his head cool?

Did you know the modern day sport called lacrosse was originally created by American Indians and consisted teams of up to 1,000 players?

Did you know a man has ran the 100 yard dash in fourteen seconds…..backwards?

Did you know that baseball players statistically have the longest life span of all professional sports?

Did you know in the four major sports (Basketball, Hockey, Baseball, and Football) there are only eight teams whose nicknames do not end in an "S"? Orlando Magic, Miami Heat, Utah Jazz, Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Avalance, Minnesota Wild, and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Did you know the city of Pittsburgh is the only town in the U.S. in which all three major pro teams (Baseball, Hockey, and Football) where all three teams wear the same color?

Did you know Decatur, Illinois was the original home of the Chicago Bears?

Did you know Gaylord Perry once said, "They'll put a man on the moon before I hit a home run." On July 20th, 1969, Neil Armstrong Landed on the moon. Twenty minutes later, Perry hit his first and only homerun.

Did you know there are only two days in the 365 of the year in which no professional sports are played? The day directly before and the day directly after the Major League Baseball All-Star game.

Sports are supposed to be fun, Right? Professional sports were created to entertain the viewer. Well, this article was created in the intent to entertain the entertained.
