Flashback to MRF tickets on sale Saturday

In order to bring back the days of classic rock on the Mississippi River, the Alumni Association is sponsoring the Flashback to the Mississippi River Festival.
According to the Alumni Association Web site, the event will be Thursday, Sept. 27, in the Meridian Ballroom in the Morris University Center.
Tickets will go on sale Saturday and are $2 each. Tickets are available to purchase online at siue.edu/alumni or at the Alumni Association's office in Birger Hall.
"Tickets will go on sale at midnight on Saturday, and students can charge them on their credit card and we will have record of that transaction," Director of Alumni Affairs Steve Jankowski said Friday.
Only 10 tickets can be purchased per transaction.
According to Jankowski, the tickets are expected to sell out fast and it is recommended that students purchase them as soon as possible.
The event will feature music from the Rich Dalton and the Classics Band, two Mississippi River Festival Films and food and drinks will be provided.
