After Friday's Student Senate meeting, Student Body President Laurie Estilette urged students to apply.
"These job descriptions are listed on our Web site and I am still encouraging any and all students who are interested to come in and apply for that," Estilette said.
Estilette appointed two other chairs at Friday's student government meeting, Jay Ravindran as Internal Affairs chair and Ankur Patel as Student Organization Advisory Board chair.
Ravindran is a graduate student studying electrical engineering. He earned a bachelor of engineering degree at Anna University in Chennai, India.
Estilette said she chose Ravindran for Internal Affairs chair because of his technical skills.
"Jay has quite a bit of experience with the computer system," Estilette said. "This year, one of our goals is to keep an updated Web site for student government."
Patel, Estilette's appointee for Student Organization Advisory Board chair, is a senior mechanical engineering major.
"Ankur is so well-known by many, many students across campus, but especially (by) students that are already in these organizations," Estilette said.
In addition to presidential appointments, there was a travel request and two program requests on the Student Senate agenda, all were approved.
A member of Delta Lambda Phi will travel to their national convention in Chicago, the Interfraternity Council will host hypnotist Tom Deluca in August and Sigma Pi will host a pig roast and luau on the quad in August.
Friday's Student Senate meeting was Trustee Jesse Phelps' last. His term ends Saturday.
