The SIUE Club Football team left its season opener at Central Methodist University with a long list of things to work on. The Cougars were battered and bruised by the Junior Varsity Eagles squad 54-14 Tuesday night. The SIUE volleyball team showed its toughness early in a road contest against Illinois State University on Tuesday. Despite a strong early showing, SIUE dropped the match in three sets, 25-19, 25-19 and 25-17. The loss dropped SIUE to 0-12 on the season. The newest version of the SIUE women's golf team opened up their season this past weekend playing in the Western Illinois University Autumn Invitational. Walking into the Vadalabene Center freshman year, I was pumped to get the first glimpse of my collegiate basketball team. Going into their tournament Monday, the SIUE men's golf program is banking on experienced veterans and talented newcomers to help them compete at a high level this season.
