Snow White & The Huntsman, in theaters June 1.

The month of June, I think, will be a quieter month for action movies with July and August picking up the biggies (action movies that will garner the most attention during the summer).

SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN

Yes, I know this movie is a bit of a chick flick, but nonetheless, it still looks as though it may have some potential for box office mania.

The movie stars Kristen Stewart (Twilight series) as Snow White, Chris Hemsworth (Thor) as the huntsman she trains in the art of war with after he’s dispatched to kill her. Screen attention stealer

Charlize Theron (Hancock) rounds out the cast as the evil queen trying to kill Snow White so she can be the fairest of all in the land.

Now, I say this movie is part chick flick because I predict and I believe I am right that Snow White and the huntsman will, you know, try to have some romantic sparks flying by the end of the

movie.

The action will come with Snow White learning how to kick butt sword-fighting style throughout the film.

The movie is slated to be out in theaters June 1.

Also, look for another Snow White film (March 30) titled Mirror Mirror, which stars Julia Roberts as the evil queen and Lily Collins as Snow White.

G.I. JOE: RETALIATION

The sequel to G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra doesn’t look to be the biggest blockbuster of the summer but might turn heads for action fanatics.

The movie stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as a commando named Roadblock while Channing Tatum and Byung-hun Lee reprise their roles as Captain Duke Hauser and Storm Shadow, respectively.

The story picks up with the commandos being targeted and assassinated by Cobra spy Zartan (Arnold Vosloo who reprises his role from the first film) and follows how they band together to fight back.

Now even though this looks like a typical action film (watch the trailer and you might think it’s just another lackluster story line), it looks like it could be one of the only decent action movies

out in the month of June.

Oh, and I forgot to mention one little detail that could make this movie shine, Bruce Willis.

The movie is due to be in theaters June 29.
