			<description>Lightning struck the SIUE campus Saturday during the large thunderstorm that passed through the area, hitting trees in Cougar Village and setting off a fire alarm. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
According to SIUE police Lieutenant Kevin Schmoll, the lightning hit a tree and caused a power surge that went to one of the building&apos;s furnaces.</description>

Jon Carney of the National Weather Service said while the temperatures in the area experienced last week were high, they were not unusual for the season.</description>

A declaratory judgment action was filed in Madison County Monday, to remove construction equipment from the site of the proposed Spring Green Lodge and to free up the plot on Route 157 and University Park for future tenants.</description>
