			<title>High-speed rail to quicken trip home for students</title>

			<description>A high-speed rail will replace the current Amtrak rail from St. Louis to Chicago, according to Rick Harnish, executive director of the Midwest High Speed Rail Association.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Harnish said the route will run on the same track that Amtrak currently uses. The train&apos;s speed will increase from 79 mph to 110 mph.</description>

			<description>The power outages that blackened SIUE during the past month should no longer be a problem.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
According to Ameren spokeswoman Victoria Busch, Ameren identified the problem triggering the outages as moisture build-up in the switchgear. The equipment should be in working order now.</description>

Neher said the university could not allow its employees to work on the problem.</description>

Josh Olmsted, assistant director of Annual Giving at the SIUE Call Center, said $160,000 is the highest total amount raised in the course of a year when the call center was outsourced to Eastern Illinois University.</description>
